Tomic: "the way now I've been playing, there is no stopping me"

Says could make top 10 in 2-3 months. Currently at 64

What confidence. CYGS, anyone?

Sydney interview: http://www.asapsports.com/show_interview.php?id=85708

Relevant quote: "Yeah, the way now I've been playing, there is no stopping me. I can do really well. I'm not going to say I'll be in the top 10 in two months, three months. I don't know. Could take longer or could happen just like that the way I've been playing.
I believe I'll get there this year. If I keep up this attitude and the way I've been playing, who knows? Could go even higher. "

"Tough match?" World #3 Federer's ("greatest player to have ever played the game," you just said before rushing off the bathroom to change your underwear) H2H against World #58 Seppi is 6-0.

If it wasn't tough, Federer's victory would not be as glorious and godlike! Naturally, if Seppi and Isner were in Nadal's side of the draw, any victory that he managed to scrape out against these Tough Titans of Tennis would be pure luck!

I am not a fan of the guy but you should read the article you sent if you are going to pull out info from it.

He said the OPPOSITE of what you said:

BERNARD TOMIC: Yeah, the way now I've been playing, there is no stopping me. I can do really well. I'm not going to say I'll be in the top 10 in two months, three months. I don't know. Could take longer or could happen just like that the way I've been playing.

Maybe he should just say he will never amount to anything to satisfy you.

I mean seriously? How bad is your trolling....
He said: "could happen just like that the way I've been playing." Means he thinks it is possible.

Actually, you're wrong here. Tomic said he won't say it will happen, but that it 'could happen just like that the way I've been playing'.

Now read the original post again

You know you guys are a little harsh. He's a kid who is asked a question and responds to it by saying maybe he could do X but he won't say he will.

Come on, this is hardly strong stuff and you are making a lot out of very little.

It's early to tell, but he sure played well at the Hopman Cup.If he sorts it out mentally, and works hard,it's only a matter of time when he breaks into top 10.

Hey, I'm not bashing him for it, I love it.

I like his (over) self-confidence and having the balls to say it to the media, instead of the media trained, morally responsible answers we hear from the rest of the tour.

I was just pointing out that there was nothing wrong with OP's quote

All of those!! I cant believe how arrogant this mug is. Every top player has a right to be arrogant and witty but they have results to back it up. This kid can talk the talk but question is can he walk the walk?

'I play well for some reason', lol. OK, just can't stand this kid. Could someone explain to him what healthy ego is? ... and where is the line of being completely narcissistic/idiotic or how to act and not say anything stupid? I thought Connors was stupid, but now I'm thinking Connors was a cup of tea comparing to Tomic. oh, Connors won some slams etc. to Connors.

Go Tom, beat Nole or Fed at some 250 tournaments. ouch, they don't play there , it sucks.

Re: Tomic: "the way now I've been playing, there is no stopping me"

Remember when Novak said 'My dream is to be number 1 and I will be number 1' and everybody laughed at him? When he lost to Nadal on clay and said 'he's not unbeatable, I controlled the match, I know I can beat him if I play my game' and again, everybody laughed a him? I don't see many people laughing at him now... So laugh at Tomug while you can, it can change at any given moment...
