About expectation though, overall... It`s high time to realize that even the best summer in your life finally will end. I mean I saw many great sportsmen who couldn`t be seriously touchable for years and even that thought seemed to be funny, but sooner or later father Time gets everyone. I think that Roger will win a few titles, 3-4 and finish in TOP-5, but it`ll be his 1 real decline year speaking about his game. This year effort was amazing and plenty of people it looks like are waiting even more next year using these results like basis for another level, but it won`t happen.

Maybe my pessimistic prediction has a lot with my sad mood, don`t know. Just like I feel it right now.
I bet you would shame at this point Djokovic is better than Fed on clay...

I'd like ro see him winning another slam. I believe he still has the ability to do so, just needs to peak at the right time.

Maybe no need for me to write ever again - you would be able to enlight my thoughts better? Wrote what I meant, that`s all. Would be funny for me personally, has nothing to do with "better player on clay".

Gasquet is next №1

It would also be funny if Novak would triple bagel Murray at the AO but it's not going to happen

I like Andy more than Nole, but agree - it would be funny to watch, wouldn`t refuse.

Gasquet is next №1

In 2013, he could either win another Slam and remain in contention for #1 or not reach a single Slam final and struggle to stay in the top 3/4. It's just impossible to predict: on the one hand, he'll become 32; on the other hand, he's Federer.... I certainly wouldn't rule out another Slam, especially if Nadal doesn't come back to his best.
Agreed.

Much as Federer's fans might wish to say otherwise, there's no denying that from 2009 onwards Federer has benefited siginificantly in majors from Nadal's questionable fitness.

He has shown he can still win majors this year, but one would suspect having to get through a field that includes both Djokovic and Nadal near the peak of their powers...well, that might be asking too much of a player over 30 years old, no matter how great he is.

Re: Your expectations for Federer in 2013.

I expect him (as in a sort of minimum requirement) to win a masters title, a couple of smaller tournaments and carry on the QF streak in slams. I think his best chance for a slam could well be coming in january with Nadal's situation as it is and him being fresh.

Conservatively, 2 out of the 5 majors (WTF being the fifth).
Without Dull to cheat his way to victory, there should be no stopping the Fedexpress.

Re: Your expectations for Federer in 2013.

I expect to hear a lot of Nein's.I expect him to win zero Masters 1000 titles.I expect Berdy to beat him in at least 2 slam QF's.I expect Rafa and No1e to spank him in remaining 2 slams.I expect him to slip to #5.

1- AO cause if he wins it it is 5th title and Djokovic would not win more than 2 thus ending both with 5 ! (but just for Djokovic missing the record 3 consecutive)
2- RG cause he'll then have 2 titles from every slam and that is incredible !
3- Wimbledon cause that'll be his 8th and this record won't be touched never.
4- And last USO .. it'll be cool just cause he'll increase his GSs to 18.

Also now he has nothing to prove and nothing to lose, so some of the chokes he did should be history now.

Federer will be a major contender in all Slams and i think he can win at least one of them.

The top 4 ranking at the end of the year is not even under question mark, the top 2 is, but not the top 4.
