Who's your favorite 90s era Australian player?

I'm going to exclude Lleyton Hewitt because he played mostly in the 2000's. Discuss who's your favorite Aussie player from the 90s and why? Was it because of their game and how they played it? their personality? their level of success on their tour or what?

For me, I picked Rafter. I love his serve and volley style game. Its so beautiful to watch. Plus I didnt mind his personality. At least, he was not a prick like Hewitt.

Also looking at this crop of players Australia had back in the 90s was something special. They had so many top 100 players The 90s were a good time for Australian tennis compred to the 2000s.

fan of Ilie and Scud, but still has to be Rafter for me. Others had their moments.

oh, and Brett Steven.

...just realized he's from New Zealand.

Kinda liked Fromberg for some time.
Rafter is the easy pick, but he was too limited for my taste.

Honorable mention of Stoltenberg and his crazy service motion, cracked me up every time I saw it.

Rafter, for sure.

But not simply because of his serve-and-volley play. It was his unconventional approach that did it for me. The guy was an absolute master of improv on court. He could come up with shots on the fly that other players wouldn't even think to try. It made his game very exciting.

Shame he never won Wimbledon.

Rafter was good to watch. Wish he'd beaten Goran at Wimbledon.
