There's nothing wrong with being confident. But he has to prove this things on the court, not by words.

Bernie has a secret plan to be the best player ever. I have it on good authority that Bernie has been sneaking into a sex change clinic in the dead of night. In a year or so I expect Bernice Tomic to challenge Serena for top bitch!

Oh dear oh dear.

I think Tomic will be a flop now.

Are there any players who have defended their attitude, said they are destines for greatness and actually delivered?

Tomug is the Audley Harrison of tennis.

True. But I do think he works hard. Maybe not sacrificing enough yet but working hard for sure. He wouldn't be where he is now without that.

not sure about his work ethics. You say 'he wouldn't be where he is now without that (hard work)' ... not sure I agree with that too, he is ranked 52 and sliding down. He needs to win some 250 events and build up things from there. His goal should be to enter top 20, then target top 10 etc. not to be 'the best ever'. Young Fed and young Nole expressed their wishes to become #1 one day, which was a legit goal. Neither of them ever said 'I want to be the best player ever'. So, Tomic is simply an immature brat without any sense of reality at the moment.
