Except Safin never cheated. Except Safin was hilarious and entertaining.

Tomic is more talented. Don't know enough about their personality.

As for potential, one made a Slam QF, the other wasn't even close. Plus Tomic might win a title tonight.

Tomic hasn't done anything of note outside of Austrailia, where there is obvious home advantage.

Dimitrov, if he concentrates fully on his tennis, should have the most success.

Though I dislike Tomic no way is Dimitrov better than him, it's not even close.

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

A Slam quarter final is more than everything Dimitrov has achieved to this day.

And who's to say that Grigor would be the best in the future? Just because his shots are a little similar to Federer's doesn't mean he has talent. He is still pretty clueless on court against a decent opponent.

Dimitrov may have nice shots, but he has no tactical plan and no idea what to do on a tennis court. Tomic borned with that,

Tomic has a tennis brain.

I don't care about this silly little debate but this is obviously wrong. Dimitrov's started working with some proper coaches and part of the reason he's reached his first final is because he's played correctly.

And anyway, it is too really to give a proper assessment of these two as tennis players. They've haven't done anything of note outside of Tomic's QF run and that was back in 2011.

Tomic is a beautiful tactician...when he is not being his lazy ass self. Thankfully it seems as though he is starting to get serious now. Fantastic news for tennis.

Not QF, but last year, in AO, the same Tomic lost in round previous to QF and only to the GOAT.

If he wins today and reach 3rd round in AO, he will even gain places in the ranks, with very few to defend in the rest of year. Specially on Wimby, where he can improve HUGELY in the ranks, since he lost 1st round last year.
