Expected. Nadal excels at being no.2 not 1.

Some of you guys really have no lives

You argue about the same things every single day

Wasting hours and hours of your youthful life.

It's almost pathetic knowing later on in your life you will regret it

Enjoy.

The interesting thing will be if Djokovic can overtake Nadal in slam count. GOAT era.

Spot on.

Didn't really know Rafa is so high in this ranking. I don't think Nole will make that. As soon as clay season starts, Nadal will be the no. 1 again. Then when hard courts season starts again, Nole will be no. 1 It's kinda predictable

That's not even possible in theory. Nadal is definitely not becoming #1 in the world soon. He has only taken 990 points after last year's RG.

Actually i really doubt that phrase, rafa has to defend all his clay wins(MC/rome/RG), so he wont' be adding any new points anytime soon,i can't really see him getting no.1 spot this year

He may easily fall on 7 or 8 spot if he doesn`t defend his major clay tournament titles

Are you aware how rankings work at all? If Nadal wins MC, Madrid, Rome and RG he will keep his current #5 or maybe jump to #4 if Ferrer does bad. He's not getting to #1 any time soon. Maaaaybe at the end of the year if he has absolutely stellar season.

But he has no points after Wimbledon which means he will make serious strides in the 2nd half of the year.

Either that or trying to regain the ground he lost in the clay season, where he defends very much indeed. A clay repeat of 2012 from now on would of course put him in a good position, but that's hardly a given.
