no.being a top10-20 player does not equal being "mediocre".Judging by the "quality" of your posts, I thought you'd have a better understanding of what this word means.

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10

I knew that Sapeod had no clue in tennis, but this is his worst (or "best") attempt to show this.

Gasquet is making this game more impressive and beautiful. His well-deserved place in elite is great for tennis. Hope he will overperform Berdych, Tsonga and Tipsarevic at least and get to 7th position. Further it`ll be harder, but not impossible.

Gasquet is next №1

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10

He had a so-so top20 season, boosted up by extra points from an unusual Canada. It was the week after the Olympics, no Federer/Nadal/Ferrer/Almagro/Monf/Verdasco/Flopez/Wawrinka/Roddick, and Murray withdraws injured after one round.

His opponents were nothing special:
Kukushkin
Berdy (prev 2 tournaments lost in Wimbledon R1 to Gulbis, and Olympics R1 to Darcis).
Fish (carrying an injury from the previous week, took first set and fell apart)
Isner (came from Olympics the week before)

Give Gasquet his usual R16/QF at Canada instead, and he'd be 17th in the rankings.

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10

Gasquet's backhand alone merits him fair reason to be in the top 10. and Almagro more talented than Gasquet or deserving to be top 10 ? please he hasn't had better results. and FYI to another poster on here, but to get Round of 16 at all slams and come close to winning a masters, he had a solid year, a very solid year

hopefully Gasquet has a little extra push next year and actually accomplishes winning a big title because he definitely should be in the top 10 long term with his great athletic prowess, touch at the net, solid serving and groundstrokes. Gasquet is top 10 talent but his brain is probably the weakest in the top 10

<3 Roger Federer <3 David Ferrer <3 Juan Martin Del Potro <3 Ernest Gulbis <3

------------------------ <3 Richard Gasquet <3

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10

gascoke has a fancy looking backhand that isn't quite as inconsistent or weak as the rest of his game. Stan the man, Mugro and even Fedmug have much more effective one handed backhands than the frenchie though. And despite that one flashy style over substance shot, everything else about his game is mediocre. Still, good enough for top 10 I guess..

What's the point of this thread, other than hinting a bashing over a player you hate? You're not going to win ACC anyway.

Why if they are both tied at the same point total does Cokequet get the 10 ranking

Re: Richard Gasquet in the top 10

crap(eod) thread

ASI Director-General Gautam Sengupta said the list of India's treasures held abroad was "too long to handle" and there was a need for a "diplomatic and legal campaign" for their restitution from institutions, including the British Museum, the Royal Collection and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.

Your ignorance does not suprise me. You don't have a clue about tennis, you only care for one player. Recently you provided us with the wisdom that the DC final is played in Spain, post 19 in WTF RR: Berdych def. Tsonga 7-5, 3-6, 6-1

All this talk about player X merits it more than player Y is crap. The system is as it is. If Almagro beats Stepanek in a live match he will surpass Richard, if not, Richard will stay nr 10 and all the haters here won't be able to change it.

Gasquet gets the 10 ranking spot because he has more points from GS + M1000.

Gasquet ● B.Baker ● Soderling ● Wawrinka ● Federer ● Goffin ● Sijsling ● Youzhny ● Thiem ● Gulbis ● Mahut ● Brown ● F.Mayer ● Tomic

So Gasquet stays in the top 10. What a shame to an otherwise pretty good top 10.

Wrong.

Incorrect.

Three names: Federer. Ferrer. Montanes.

agree here. I like watching him when he gets it together. that single-handed BH when he takes it on the rise is one of the most enjoyable shots on tour. I like it even more than Feds.
