Re: 15 y.o. Alexander Zverev reach his first Futures Semifinal
Impressive
Just watched some videos surfing the net, and he is really aggressive. One to watch out for sure, and I already like him
Btw some of the scorelines to get the semis are just A win over a mediocre player (at the moment, no offense ), one by retirement and the last one says all about the match And his junior results are far from being good
Florian Reynet next, ranked 327, 26, futures regular. He won a clay event two weeks back, double bagelled Bangoura in the final, the same guy mini-Zverev beat 76 06 76.
^If that were the case then they would be wise to create an artificial off season in the middle of the year then knuckle down for easy points in November.
Yes, it's just a final in a quite poor future with no impressive win (despite his scoreline against Bangoura suggest he could have better mental abilities than his brother :lol but guys, a 15 years old player at this level is something we haven't seen in years.
Of course this doesn't mean he will be a future GS winner or even a top 10 - Harrison and Tomic were the last at this level that young and look where they are now... but still this result is very impressive considering how physical the game has turned since some years. Wait and see, but next year he'll a player to follow for sure...
I didn't say anything about Zverev. I was talking in general about a futures player who's not "rolling around cash" as you said. He can win a good sum of money by fixing a match
