Well atleast he played a really good match and will go in with some confidence. Seems like the domination from the top4 is only getting worse..

Actually from the top 8, only Ferrer lost a set so far. The other top 8ers were taken to a total of one tiebreak so far (Tsonga). Top heavy era.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

yeah we need surprises. Before you know it ATP will be as much of a snoozefest as the WTA. WTA seems to be improving though, Serena even lost 2 games today

It's been like this at the AO for a few years, I think, even for Murray.

I've always thought the moderation of the surface had something to do with it, but if the courts have sped up as reported then I'm not sure.

In any case, the earlier rounds at the other majors have typically been more competitive, I think.

First set - no breaks. Now, nobody can hold 0-15 raonic

might be some truth to this. Anyways, I don't really enjoy watching journeymen trying to gather a handful of games.

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

If tennis still wants proper fans then bring back some variety in courts. Unless they're very good players then players should not look so comfortable on both grass and clay. The results are becoming far more predictable and will only get more so IMO.

RIP Henry Chinaski. A true MTF legend
