Re: 2012 Live Commentary

urgh. S&V looks so obsolete in a match like this. Fast court but Steps in trouble in every freaking service game

I wish Steps would never retire.

Gotta love that S&V.

Re: 2012 Live Commentary

Silly of Stepanek to expend so much energy on this match. He should reserve it for the doubles and the last singles.

Re: 2012 Live Commentary

Could Stepanek be replaced by Rosol in a hypotetical 5th match?

Because Steps hasn`t play a lot this year. He won`t get tired by the match.

Steps play well in SHanghai. Yes, he is the decline, but he is really an intelligent guy and by the way the match with him could be long, with Rosol it will be shorter. And Rosol win a challenger, nothing compare like playing with Ferrer in such an special event. We are talking about a player which never play in a single final in his career. He`s not the man for this kind of match in my opinion.

And Steps seasons was not so bad, or at least, not so different comapred with 2011. The point in 2011 is Washington, and Steps didńnt play Washington this year because of the Olympics. That`s why he has a lower ranking

Re: 2012 Live Commentary

Funny how it's almost always like this. Ferrer had 0-40, Steps survived and now everything turned

He's 33 is not? Playing over 3 hours and losing is pointless. It would have made a lot more sense to save him for the doubles and the reverse singles as he could arguably beat Almagro if he hit top form.

Re: 2012 Live Commentary

Ferrer is deliberately extending the match to tire Stepanek out.
