Evgeny Donskoy wins the Loughborough challenger to clinch a YE Top 100 position!

Donskoy hasn't won an ATP match this year but after some weeks of mediocre results, he has made the finals of the Loughborough challenger in Britain to put himself in position to win his 4th challenger title this season. Donskoy had some good results in February but struggled through the middle of the season, only to pick his results up during the summer playing some weaker challengers. He's undeniably talented and it would be nice to see him in the top 100, for Russian tennis as well it would be a good sight to see.

He plays Jan-Lennard Struff, another talented youngster, in the finals. How do you all think it will go? Do you think Donskoy is a top 100 player? Leave your thoughts below.

This would knock Berankis out of the Top 100.

Well, he deserves it by winning so many matches on the Challenger Tour. Let's hope he makes a Stebe and make a consistent year on the ATP World Tour next year.

He's got the potential to be a solid top 30 player, in my honest opinion.

This is just the beginning. I'm not a huge fan, but I love watching him play.

he did it! part of the future of russian tennis with kuznetsov

he's got nothing to dfefend and plays 2 more events this year so he can only solidify his place

Bullshit 2 you posted in the same day.

Donskoy is the only russian player together with kuznetsov that can make top 50 in the future.

As for him, I hope he continues to progress for the hope of russian tennis. I think he lacks weapons, but he has some talent of course.

I still remember when I picked Donskoy to beat Starace in a hard court event back in 2009 and he lost. At that time I had severe doubts Donskoy would ever make it to the top 100, but by doing this at the age of 22 still show he can try to have a better career we just need to hope he hang on into top 100 next year and get 10+ atp wins.

Donskoy and Kuznetsov are both average players who have gained all their points from playing weak challengers. You have to feel sorry for the once great Russian tennis if this is the best it has to offer these days.
