Expected. This is just a bad match-up and after 13 in a row, Fed is probably in his head as well.

Congrats Roger on reaching the semis.

Not to mention that if JMDP wins in two today, a Tipsy win over Ferrer would make him qualify even if he lost in straights to Federer.

For some reason I imagined Ferrer took a set today.

Fuck I need some sleep, all this whining about how much of a mug Ferrer is hasn't helped.

3 dfs from Federer in 2 sets is more abnormal than 5 dfs from Ferrer.

Not in the ATP era, this is a solid record for someone being 31 at year end, but Connors actually did it at 32.

Fed will save his best to trash Djokovic (again)

Well i called it of course. Vulturer doesn't have anything to hurt the GOAT with. From the sound of it Roger didn't play particularly well but a win is a win i suppose.

Re: London WTF 2012 RR: Federer def. Ferrer 64 76(5)

A rare day match for Roger, he had to adjust to the conditions; but he didn't make too many UEs, he just didn't go all the way on Ferru because it wasn't needed TBH He still had to save 9/10 bps, so his serve was not really clicking until the second set. Still, Roger found a way to win.

2-0 (4 sets won to 0 lost) basically is as much as we could hope for at this point. Roger gets an additional 200 pts as well and is well on his way to attempting to regain the 1500 pts from last year.

It's all a matter of whether they play 6 more matches or not, it's not like Ferrer is ever going to beat him

This matchup is a good retirement barometer for Federer; once he loses to Ferrer, it's time to call it a day

I am more worried about Ferrer not getting to Fed, not that he'll lose :P.

ferrer must be the most unrelevant top player ever

he is ranked 5 and yet almost never produces an upset.
