He deserves to be ignored and ostracised no matter what the media tries to say.
Whether you love or hate Roger, he's still the most popular player in the world by a wide margin There's no one that attracts crowds or fills arenas like him.

He has a great personality, and he praised Novak vociferously for his year end #1. A journalist at the WTF Press Conference asked him: "Nole is the Year End #1, but will you feel like the REAL #1 if you win WTF?" Fed answered that the real #1 is determined by the rankings, and Novak fully deserves that spot. He was gracious and classy as usual.

Why don't you quote it all ?
Why don't YOU quote it all?

"The real number one, we know who that is going to be, it's going to be Novak, so I think there should not be any debate around that," Federer told reporters. "Number one, you don't get there by chance. The rankings are something that show you how you've played over a 365-day period. It might change all over again at the Australian Open, there’s no doubt about that, but right now, it's clear."

Right now, Djokovic is the clear number one.

Nowhere did Federer say that he deserves number 1 no matter what. He'll be the deserving no.1 if he gets the results to back it up.

That's about as typical of federer in making grandiose assertions, speaking in authoritative way and talking out of both sides of his mouth. Even his soft stetements are very dubious.

he's not alone at all, but what he does, I think he does it well, anyway he puts efforts in that and I think he has the experience (especially having known tennis in other times) and the intelligence and the communication and listening of other players to do it well. And he likes it !

The difference is not that big in points between him and Nole so what he says is true, if he wins AO and Nole (for some freakish turn of fate) goes before the SF there then he'll be back to #1.

Did he say that Nole didn't deserve #1? No, in fact he said that rankings and points don't lie and that he's a worthy YE #1.

Like I say: hate him if you want but don't make up shit he has never said or say: "if you read between the lines then the asshole is trying to say blah blah blah" to fit your own agenda.

Man up and say: I hate him and I think everything he says is BS no matter what happens but don't make shit up.

frauderer claimed that djokovic fluked shots and wouldn't last long at the top

he relied on wagging his finger to show that he was right

unfortunately for fedclown, djokovic won slam after slam until uncle toni and fedclown called down the weather at consecutive slams

They need to increase the challenger prizes in at least 20%.

Top 150 players are making less than 6000 dollars per month still.
