the last two matches between these two just showed how the wind robbed the last USO to Novak.

No, in all seriousness, well done Nole! Clutch when necessary. Wish I could say the same for Andy...
I know. He was so clutch at the US open but hasn't been the same since. Maybe just a bit tired mentally.

I do believe it. He really impressed me in this match. It's obvious he hasn't got the same touch on the volley (not the dropper) as Mugray BUT he's working on it and he LOOKS to use it during the match. It's the exact opposite with Mugray, I suppose.

At least we didn't have Tankovic two weeks in a row, it would've been too much

Andy could have come in more- he had great stats in Shanghai albeit on a faster court than this. It's a little frustrating of him.

Nole

Hope Tsonga can win tonight to set up a second place match on Friday against Murray.

Are you actually this stupid?

All three matches have been pretty similar:all very close and could have gone either way, with the result just coming down to one or two points. Djokovic managed to get the last two while the US Open went Murray's way. The wind clearly had nothing to do with it.

Re: WTF RR: Djokovic beats Murray 4-6, 6-3, 7-5

Excellent 1st set from Murray. Was really impressed that he came out of the blocks firing. He hit through the ball and made the court look reasonably quick for a change. You always feel though that between these two, all it takes it a slight momentum shift, and it came about in the middle of the 2nd set. Djokovic playing a reasonable 2nd set to get himself back into the match.

The 3rd was all over the place, and once Murray got back into the match after being double-break points down (a la Australian Open 2012 anyone?), you just sensed that he'd have another lapse, and he did unfortunately. For some reason, the shouty negative Murray has reappeared these last 2 months when things aren't going his way. One of the reasons he won the US Open was because he didn't give anything away, and was clutch on the big points.

Re: WTF RR: Djokovic beats Murray 4-6, 6-3, 7-5

Djokovic was too good in the end. Murray was the better player to start with, but the 2nd and most of the 3rd was controlled by Nole.

Average match really. Too many Unforced Errors for it to be a good match imo.

Re: WTF RR: Djokovic beats Murray 4-6, 6-3, 7-5

I didn't see the match....just followed the scoreboard. Teaching a class of 6th graders and following a tennis match is a little tricky

Anyway, wow....can't believe they had about double the number of unforced errors as they did winners. ESPECIALLY Murray. This must have been quite a messy match. I looked at the scoreline and saw that Djoker was up 3-1 in the 3rd, so then when I came back, I saw that it was 5-4* with Murray serving, then 5-all.

Glad Novak came through. The hard part is over (in the round robin) because Murray is especially difficult for him.

Has Novak ever gone 2-0 in round robin play before? I know he lost once in 2008 and a couple of times after that but I can't remember WHEN he lost.
