his serve has improved in the last 2 years, and that's one of the main reasons of his improvements. But if he had a serve just as good as Nadal's one for instance, he would have defeated top-players much more often.

a priori yes, but Del Potro and Ferrer are the ones who won big tournaments before the WTF and yesterday's match probably was the best of the WTF so far.

Tsonga and Tipsy look like the worst players of the WTF.

Re: WWW WTF RR: Federer - Ferrer

duong is right, Ferrer shouldn`t be underrated. His level yesterday was incredible. Tipsy didn`t give any resistance to Fed, But Ferrer will make him running a lot. It won`t be walk in the park, but I still will go with Fed in 2 tight sets. David doesn`t return his serve well, Fed`s kick is bigger horror for him than Delpo`s power.

Gasquet is next №1

unanimity.

Fed is fresh as a cucumber, he'll be running around this BH and Ferru won't have much to do about it.

Straight sets.

Having Berdych and Tsonga secures the same outcome.

Re: WWW WTF RR: Federer - Ferrer

If Davydenko, Soderling, Gonzo, Roddick, & other turkeys all managed a win against Fed, there's no reason why Ferrer playing the best tennis of his life can't. But it's still unlikely. Fed does an excellent job exploiting the technical weaknesses Mark Petchey has astutely pointed out in Ferrer's game: putting too much spin on his forehand return, dropping the ball short for an easy 2nd shot, and too little spin when retrieving low balls to his backhand, thereby dumping balls into the net.

I will enjoy watching Fed destroying this vulture at least.

Comparing: Kolya , Sodaking , Forehandzo 'n A-rod to this pushing , vulturing , disgraceful , weaponless , styleless mug is something beyond our universe.
There are no connecting points between these talents and this Counterpusher...

Re: WWW WTF RR: Federer - Ferrer

I hope Ferrer makes it competitive for Fed to really see where his level at at the moment. Fed in cruising mode in the first set, then goes to mirkaland in the 2nd but wins it anyway. Something like 6-3, 7-5.

"Counterpushers" have succeeded against Federer in the past.
