Yeah, Todd Martin is one of them, too. He was one of the rare all-court american guys.

So i think than Gonzalez is good pick, like someone mentioned, from current top players - Tipsy is higher ranked player without Master 1000 if we don´t count Delpo with slam of course.

So than we have guys like Almagro, Gasquet,, Monaco, RAonic, Isner,Simon, Wawrinka,Dolgo so on - from those guys some will have chance in future - for example Raonic or Nishikori should win in future eventually - so maybe Gasquet and Wawrinka would deserve it most from players without Master 1000, but on other hand i don´t think there are good enough. Right now i don´t think there is player that deserve to have at least 1x Master 1000 in his career - by Ferrer it was o.k. this guy is good, top 5 and no Masters, but by another guys there are just good, but you won´t say give them MAster1000 they deserve it
Yes, I meant not higher than "500". Didn`t want to make too long thread title, thought it would be obvious apart from jokes.

There's the likes of Gaudio, J.Johannson, maybe the likes of Magnus Larsson.
Yes, I was speaking about Gonzo. Though James was my 1st thought.

Gasquet is next №1

Such a shame that he was a headcase. If not, he would've won Us Open.

BTW, Ancic is also one of the best never to win a masters.

Dull has nothing to do with the question... Having no mental game isn't Ann excuse either. If Gonzalez's backhand was as good as his forehand than he would have a bunch of slams, but he didn't.

Health isn't always bad luck, they can be brought up by the player's style. Ok, so I never saw him live, but that doesn't mean that I can't research him and watch him on YouTube...

Explained above ^^

Kafelnikov and DP won slams, so excluding them I think it's gotta be Blake.

Re: Best player never to win Masters title

Gonzalez comes to mind.

I think Ancic is a good mention, but the unfortunate circumstances of his career made it so that there was a lot he missed out on.

Re: Best player never to win Masters title

Poor Joachim Johansson He had such a big game but once the shoulder injuries got a grip of him that was the end.

He had the tools to be a major threat. Even after the surgery he served Nadal off court in Stockholm. Showed what a healthy PimPim could have done.

I think it's between the guys with the common last names: Todd Martin and Fernando Gonzalez.
