Not to take away any credit, but does anyone think these wins have anything to do with the top players being exhausted after basically playing an 11 month schedule?

Seems to have a unique personality, should be great to watch his progress next year. Not sure his emotional energy is going to hold up in the final, but just getting there has been miraculous to say the least.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Here's a tip. Don't regret nothin'. You ain't got the time. Before you know it, you'll be 60 something years old giving free advice to some cheapskate runt... Then going home and regretting it.

That is certainly true (Tipsarevic and Murray yes) and probably generating much over reaction, but he certainly shows a tennis level well above his ranking.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.

Superb from Janowicz, a final of Masters 1000 tournament. Great great game, but it is questionable whether he can be that good in 2013.

Certainly a newcomer of the year. Now win the title.

Roger Federer - Martin Klizan - Lukas Lacko - Milos Raonic - Fernando Verdasco

Dustin Brown - Nick Kyrgios - Norbert Gombos - Stanislas Wawrinka - Dominic Thiem

That would still make him top 10 material.
