Do you adore Janowicz's dropshots?

Omg just watched one game of the Simon match and he is still making these sensational drop shots.

I have never seen a player mastering the shot like him and playing it consistently and have the ball land really short.

What is more, his technique is superb!! The motion looks so fluid!

Maybe he is just a fluke, but his drop shots should be remembered for a longer time!!!

Like: Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, Ferrer, Del Potro, Raonic, Haas, Davydenko, Janowicz, Nalbandian, Monfils, Rosol

Dislike: Berdshit, Mugrin Cilic, Simug,

It's not just the drop, it's the way it catches the opponent off guard!

Re: Do you adore Janowicz's dropshots?

No, I don't really adore them. Some of the dropshots were excellent, yes - but let's be honest, he played some poor ones as well.
Most of all, the disguise on the BH dropshot is not great. It worked anyway today though because Simon stands so far behind the baseline.

I like Jerzy though and in combination with powerful groundstrokes, that dropper can indeed be used as a weapon. How effective a weapon will depend on the opponent I think. Will be interesting to see what it will be like if he faces Ferrer in the final.

It pisses me off when it misses, but it makes me soooo horny when it works (most of the time)

Re: Do you adore Janowicz's dropshots?

I think amazingness of JJ's dropshots it's a matter of perception.

IMO there were a few players in the past with similar drop-shot skills, but none of them possessed such a powerful serve. Janowicz is absolutely unique with his power-finesse combo, on the mental department as well - between the points he reacts in a super serious manner with eyes of a cool killer only to deliver childishly natural reaction as the match is finished

Yeah right, his forehand dropshots are better than the backhand equivalent.

What is more, he is the only player bar federer who can hit it off serve, which is just huge.

MTF is in agreement.

Janowicz' sexy drop shots will end up becoming more famous than Nadal's ass.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

When he gets it right, it's more amazing than sexual penetration.

Really? I only saw Jerzy hit 1 dropshot off Simon's serve today, and he netted that dropshot.

Gotta respect someone who dropshots twice on consecutive matchpoints.

He´s Ballzy.
