Awesome groups

Well deserved for Fed being placed with Murray always.

Re: ATP World Tour Finals draw discussion

Well let's see

1 2 is Fed and Nole, IMO it doesn't really matter which you get (don't think Murray cared that much for example). Both groups even.

3 4 is Murray and Ferrer, obviously Murray is stronger. Group A stronger.

5 6 is Berdych and DelPo, I think Delpo is the stronger player and group B is stronger here.

7 8 is Tipsy and Tsonga, Tsonga obviously the better player but both really non-factor in their current shape. I'll go with group A here but really it should make no difference.

So yeah, group A is stronger but not by a big margin.

Re: ATP World Tour Finals draw discussion

disgraceful

abusive federer getting his pathetic easy draw as usual

djokovic the best player this year, rewarded with a group of death

powers that be are desperate for federer not to lose his beloved year end championship

murray and tsonga's hopes destroyed in an instant

organisational fixing at its very worst

You forget about matchups. In Group A they can all beat each other, no clear matchup issues. While in Fed his group...he eats them all for breakfast...only possibly Delpo might cause a slight problem, but I don't think it will be a big one.

Well, Group A has drawn the higher seed from all of those. That's a little ridiculous.

And Tsonga made the final here last year, just saying. I wouldn't write him off completely. He could get hot...

Berdych is ranked higher and the better this player this year. In fact, all of the higher ranked of the pairs are in Nole's group! Fed would pick 1-6 Del Po over Berdych every damn time.

Re: ATP World Tour Finals draw discussion

the draw is 1, 3, 5 and 7 in one group 2, 4, 6 and 8 in the other (if you remove Nadal and reorder the numbers accordingly). I don't see anything fixed about that, you couldn't really get more balanced. All other arguments are purely subjective.

How is that balanced? The strongest group possible vs the weakest group possible... Uhm.
