You don't think his opponents would rather finish the match instead of him pussying out? Sure he hands them a win but I bet you anything they'd rather have earned it properly.

just two examples.

Stealing a joy of proper celebration of first ATP title because this moron couldn't have played 3 more points moron is disgusting.

this week, first serious tournament success for janowicz, the guy passed qualies, won matches of his life, by his celebrations you could have seen that those wins meant more to him than slam wins to some guys, and steal the occasion from someone who has never been in it is pretty low.

all these facts have even bigger heaviness when you look at shitsy's reaction on stepanek's finger. behaving like shit but expecting from people to respect him. it can't be worse

no surprise you are his fans when you can see these facts

Re: Janko Tipsarevic - A Clear Pattern Emerging?

Yes i agree here that retiring when you're at a game distance of losing or even worse, at mp is not a good thing and not even i like it as a fan of him but on the other side it's not such a big deal. The opponent shouldn't care too much (and i'm sure he doesn't) because the result is the same, and he wins the same amount of money and the same number of points no matter if Tipsarevic retired or not

The main problem as samanosuke says it's that he's "stealing" the joy of the opponent but it's not a major problem from my point of view

are you kidding? yes, as tennis fans, it is our business. and of course he is hurting his opponents and tennis in general with this kind of behaviour.

but interesting to know that tisparevic actually has a fan.

If players like Volandri who act much worse than him and have also less talent have fans, then why wouldn't Janko have?

People need to stop whining about something so irrelevant about finishing a match where the outcome is already clear.

So, following your logic, all players should retire once they're within a couple of points of losing, since it's "irrelevant" if they finish or not

At least the guy did win a Golden Retire Slam, dude get over it Tipsy is such a dumbass player, if you can seem to get the memo than you must be crazy to not admit it.

Re: Janko Tipsarevic - A Clear Pattern Emerging?

He didn't retire but I remember I lost respect for Janko in 2011 AO when he litteraly gave up in the 5th set against Verdasco 6-0. He wasn't tired and just stoped moving and tanked the match.

"I did not play my best tennis, no? And..that is what enable him to win..to win this match no? "

- Rafael Nadal, ever so "humble", - press conference after shock 4 set loss to Robeen Soderling @ 2009 French Open 4th round.

Irrelevant? Seriously? Good fucking grief. Imagine if everyone on tour did the same, the sport would simply become unwatchable.

I actually kinda liked this guy, now I just think he's a disgrace to the sport.

Allez!
