Geneva CH R2: Laaaaaksonen def Jaziri 7-5 7-6

First time I saw Laaksonen play. The Swiss youngster is a talented guy. He reminds me of Fognini.

Until this week I was 100% sure Laaksonen was Finnish and wondered how he was getting WCs to Swiss Challengers. Good run here.

He has both Finnish and Swiss citizenships, and he started to represent Switzerland in 2011. Too bad Finland lost a one of our biggest future hopes, but that change possibly gave him better, or cheaper, coaching, he was already training in Switzerland where his father comes from.

Re: Geneva CH R2: Laaaaaksonen def Jaziri 7-5 7-6

I think that the physical issues of Henri will stay a major liability for him to make it at the ATP level, and even to be in top 200.

I wish to be wrong.

By the way Laaksonen is leading 6-3 his QF against Marchenko. He's playing well, with a very good FH but inconsistant. He was very lucky to break at 3-3 with a netcord. From what I saw he has the game to rise a lot in the rankings next year (around 150th I would say)
