Azarenka probably wanted some S&M action and when it went too far, the poor guy tried to escape at any cost possible.

how about sleeping in the bathroom? Been there done that. Was a hotel I think. Someone will come by. A cleaning lady? Otherwise scream from the window, bang the walls/door. Kick out the door? It was Bubka so I'm sure he could have smacked down a door. Then gravity works in his favor. Climbing walls is more for Rochus type players

I was only arguing the phone situation and not those ideas.

Thanks for the new vocab word.

I'm going to tell all of my teachers about it!

Azarenka is in Las Vegas atm (as per her facebook (yes, I do follow her because she doesn't write in CAPS)), so maybe he got jealous?!?

Re: Bubka falls from third floor window in Paris; suffers multiple fractures

I hope it's not career-threatening but the fact that they initially thought he was going to die means there's a good chance there's a head or neck injury involved rather than say, broken arms or legs.

story is a little suspect too. I'd imagine the player was either unconscious or at least in a severe state of shock when found so it seems a little strange they'd know exactly what happened to him already.

But anyways, really a fan of Sergei, and its sad for any athlete especially a guy like him to go through this. I pray for his speedy recovery.

Re: Bubka falls from third floor window in Paris; suffers multiple fractures

Sounds similar to the Polansky incident in Davis Cup a few yeas back where he sleptwalked off a 3rd floor balcony to get any from what he thought was someone with a knife in his room. Polansky was back playing tennis within 6 months, we can only hope for such a recovery fr Bubka but it sounds worse, main thing is he lives but it would suck to end a tennis career in such a manner

Yes, that's correct. He fell from the 4th floor, not 3rd.

As long as he lives. That's all that matters.

Re: Bubka falls from third floor window in Paris; suffers multiple fractures

I just hope for him he's not in a vegitative state or crippled for life... Falling from the 4th floor is not a simple matter and when I heard his life was in danger at some point I feared a head injury. Sounds a bit better now.
Here's hoping for the best...
