Well, isn't this a worthy achievement?

At least he hasn't lost in a Grand Slam having match points for quite a while.

He might sneak a win against the rest.
One victory against a washed up (and chocking) Federror doesn't mean anything.

Re: Murray the mental midget, loses 3rd time in a row in a tournament after having M

I can understand the Djokovic and Raonic losses from MP to a degree - although they were big cock-ups - but this one today is pretty unacceptable and - frankly - disgusting. I did say before the start of the USO that he should be favourite on the basis or his then form and especially his Olympics showing but I can't say that he has handled the rising of his stardom very well. If he thinks he's done enough because he's won a slam and now he might as well quit trying, then he's not near the mentality of the other 3.
You can tell that today he went into the match with an "I'm not gonna push myself too much" attitude and it backfired badly for him.
Mentally this is not the best preparation for London.

Something he's got to stamp out if he wants the #1 ranking. Even if he won the AO in January, losing points the way he's done in the last three tournaments will keep him well out of Novak's range, even if he has 2 slams and Novak 0!

But now he has more lost from a mp-up than won from a mp-down, from 4-0 after St. Petersburg 2007 (Mello, Haas, Mathieu, Youzhny) to 4-5 after Paris 2012 (Ancic, Querrey, Raonic, Djokovic, Janowicz).

Actually it's a bit funny that 4 surnames of the same origin, Janowicz is pronounced almost exactly the same like Janović

Re: Murray the mental midget, loses 3rd time in a row in a tournament after having M

I'd imagine the sad bastards on here jizzed themselves just as much with the Mahut and Chardy losses. And what followed - a Wimbledon final/Olympic gold and a US Open respectively. Andy focuses on big boy shit these days, he knows what he's doing. Actually I can remember after the Chardy loss, one particular cock cheddar stated "And we're expected to believe he's capable of winning a slam?"

Much like Djokovic yesterday, it's unfair to the opponent and inaccurate to say he gave the match away, but it was blatant that neither were playing at anything near 100% effort as the matches went on...

Andy never tanked against Raonic. He did here though.

He's no mental midget

Shit happens, so does this. Losing to Matchpointović is nothing to be ashamed of, also to Raonić with his huge serve.

How many times he fought back from 2-5 down and saved set points, nobody mentiones that.

Re: Murray the mental midget, loses 3rd time in a row in a tournament after having M

Murray a mental midget? Don't make me laugh. Murray has some of the best mental strength outside of slam finals, and he's getting better there too. Terrible thread. He tanked his match against Janowicz, he lost to Raonic because he was awful and he lost to Djokovic because he played awful on match points and gave it away (apart from playing alright for most of the match).

MATCH WIN/LOSS: 601-171...

Although I despise Murray, this is essentially a bash thread that should realistically be closed (according to MTF rules).

Anyone who thinks Murray is a mental midget is a clown. He has been a bit mentally weak over the last month or two but overall he is one of the strongest on tour. His US open was one one of the mentally strongest tournaments I've ever seen, he was an absolute beast there. When we get back to playing tournamnets he actually cares about I think we will see clutchray return.
