Nadal has the best footwork ever on clay. On other surfaces, it is Federer.

And his FH is only the best ever as a defensive shot. He has the best FH defense of all-time imo, just like Nole has the best BH defense.

Talent!?!?! Nadull is just an agreesive pusher, just an evolved version of Mugray.
Sadly we will never see him again on courts, his career is over, time to get a new favourite player, doc

For pure explosive speed, Nadal is better than Noserer IMO. Peak Nadal's defense > peak Noserer's defense. Noserer may have slightly better anticipation, though.

As for FH, the very reason it's the best is the one you mentioned. It doesn't break down when he is defending. Noserer actually makes quite a few FH errors when in prolonged FH rallies. Nadal's DTL FH and passes are also superior.

It's better to at least have a career, than to have none at all, like a bunch of mugs in your signature

At least they will be remembered as aggresive players, not as defensive chickens playing 2 mts behind the serve line all the time

to be fair, Delpo's FH technique is as bad as Nadal's movement technique

Re: Del Potro vs. Ferrer

Well, so what if Delpo won a slam?

Ferrer has more talent* than Delpo and proved it by crushing him in his last two matches. In fact, Delpo did not blow himself off the court in those matches. Ferrer just overwhelmed him.

*talent is more than the ability to hit the ball hard

Delpo just wins all these small tournaments recently, while Ferrer is competing with the big boys at the slams. When was the last time Juan Martin made a slam semifinal?

Yup, Nadal is faster, but Federer has better footwork off clay imo, he hardly ever hit any shot out of position and, especially in his prime, could turn defense into offense against the biggest hitters seamlessly due to his insane footwork.

As for the FH, I agree Nadal's FH has a very good case for being the best FH I've seen: it's a shot that makes him a bad matchup to 99% of the tour who can't handle the wicked spin. But again, I'd hail it at the best ever on clay; on other surfaces, he can be outhit off the FH wing very often (by guys like Gonzalez, Blake, Delpo...).

This is some superb logic. Istomin beat Ferrer in their last match, thus proving he is more talented than Ferrer And how about earlier today when Querrey proved to be more talented than Nole eh?

And just this Sunday Delpo proved to be more talented than Federer. So Ferrer > Delpo > Federer > Ferrer. Oh wait, what you said doesn't actually make any sense, that's right.

Not compared to Nadal

Love it how someone can be so judgemental, just because a certain user doesn't hate Nadal

i have never said they can be compared to Nadull's achievements. On the other hand you said "jackshit"... you are the wrong here.

Nop, but you have to admit you are quite similar...

This logic has been practically what you have been using the entire time though. You keep saying since Delpo defeats the top players every now and then he is better than Ferrer.

I realize that Ferrer is a bad match up for Delpo. (Judging that the last six sets they have played have all gone Ferrer's way with either a score of 6-3 or 6-2. ) But that is not why I think Ferrer is more talented- he is faster, has better footwork, has better net game, and so on...You have your reasons. I have mine.
