You're really going to bet against that happening at some point next season? I'm not. Del Potro can definitely get to the semis of a slam.

Re: Del Potro vs. Ferrer

Del Potro's peak is far better than anything Ferrer is capable of. Sure, Ferrer has been the more consistent player in recent times and wins/advances far in the minor tournaments often, but in the grand scheme of things, so what?

So Ferrer deserves to be ranked above Del Potro and is clearly the better player for years now, that's what.

Deserves to be ranked ahead of him, sure. Better player? I wouldn't say that.

In their next meeting I think Ferrer will toss DelPo's salad, again.

Answer to the poll: Never.

Re: Del Potro vs. Ferrer

Why are Murraytards always Delpohaters??

I thought that now that Mandy won a slam they'd be a bit less bitter. But I guess I was wrong.

Re: Del Potro vs. Ferrer

This thread made me look at the Paris draw and I have to feel sorry for Ferrer, in a masters with no Nole or Federer he has to fight through Wawa, the probably Tsonga, then probably DelPo just to get to the finals where it'll be Murray... Ridiculous draw for 1 of the top 4 seeds.

Re: Del Potro vs. Ferrer

OP hasn't heard of bad matchups, clearly.

I rate Ferrer the better player as of now, but I feel Delpo's more likely to do something.

Re: Del Potro vs. Ferrer

Is this discussion still going on ?

Del Potro just beat Federer in a tournament final (on indoor hard). Just let this sink in for a moment; it doesn't seem like much - and it is not for a player of JMDP's talent and potential - but it's way above Ferrer's ceiling as he cannot win tournaments with players of Federer's caliber around, let alone beating them in the final. Let's not even talk about other achievements here.

Del Potro is the far better player. No more needs to be said!
