Re: Will Paris TMS be worse than Toronto?

paris isn't the worst masters

that goes to madrid or shanghai

however, it is far less than prestigious than Indian Wells, Miami, Rome, Monte Carlo, Canada, and Cincinnati

Re: Will Paris TMS be worse than Toronto?

Terrible QF field IMO, I don't even want to look at it.

I hope for a Janowicz-Ferrer final.

The most important thing, thouhg, is that we don't have a fluke winner which will not show up in the next 6 months and keep his then inflated rating until next autumn!!!

Like: Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, Ferrer, Del Potro, Raonic, Haas, Davydenko, Janowicz, Nalbandian, Monfils, Rosol

Dislike: Berdshit, Mugrin Cilic, Simug,

When was the last time Berdych, Tsonga, Tipsy or Delpo played Ferrer in the late stages of a tournament? Next you'll be blaming Ferrer for making the finals of Monte Carlo and Rome and daring to lose to Nadal instead of Tsonga

Still angry that Ferrer destroyed Del Trashtro on grass this year?

Delpo's lucky that Pics lost to Nishikori, otherwise he would have no medal

Del Potro played probably his best ever tournament at Olympics. If Ferrer had somehow managed to get past Nishikori, he'd have got the prison shower treatment in the QF. He pushed a Federer serving at 70% to the very limit, yet you think Ferrer would have beaten him, amazing.

And anyway, even assuming your assertion was correct, how could Del Potro ever be lucky than Nishikori is a better and more talented tennis player than Ferrer? I'm afraid he can't control the talent and ability level of the rest of the tour

But Federer > Del Potro at the Olympics and if that was his best tournament, then since he beat Noserer in the USO Final it was a fluke. FINALLY YOU ADMIT TO THE FLUKE LENDERS!

How many times before has Del Potro pushed Federer to the limit and failed? Best tournament ever? What about USO? How can winning a bronze medal be better than winning a slam trophy?

Irony
In terms of his level of play. He was serving much better than at the USO, being more aggressive with shots and using the net to much better effect.

Winning the US Open was his best achievement, but his level of play throughout the tournament is a bit overrated: only the final weekend was really remarkable, especially vs Nadal. Against Federer it was mostly a mental triumph more than anything else; if Federer had served nearly as well as he did in their OG match he'd have won the final easily - only late in the 4th set and in the 5th was JMDP's level truly exceptional. And let's not even talk about losing a set to Kohlerer and needing a massive choke/implosion from Cilic in the QF.

Re: Will Paris TMS be worse than Toronto?

I think JMDP is very passionate about representing his country and Argentines are known for fierce patriotism so winning the medal for them will rank up there with his USO.

It's like Nalbandian, winning DC for him > a slam.

The difference is that Nalbandian has neither DC nor a slam. Who knows where an Olympic medal would have ranked for him. He seems to care more about DC.

Yeah, Ferrer would have beaten that del Potro. Federer and Ferrer are different players.

Re: Will Paris TMS be worse than Toronto?

Shanghai is quickly becoming one of the Best Masters. The Hospitality, the Stadium and plus the DJokovic-Murray Match has showcased it is becoming one of the Elite Masters.

As for Bercy, It has a fantastic Court but the timing of the Tournament looks very awkward and Poor. Otherwise it could be one of the Top.

Shanghai is better than Toronto or IW or even Cincinatti.
