Paris, R1: Sijsling (Q) d. Dolgopolov 64 62

After a very good tournament Dolgopolov nearly always loses 1st round of the tournament in the next week after.

Awful because now Sijsling will be top 100 for longer than he deserves.

Sijsling played some awesome tennis. At Sky Sports the commentators were impressed, saying that he can trouble Tipsarevic, and I agree.

Comments like this makes me long for the good old days when you were banned.

good result for Sijsling. I caught a bit of this match in my lunch break and he played really well.

Re: Paris, R1: Sijsling (Q) d. Dolgopolov 64 62

Sijsling is probably the most dull player around and his baseline game is mediocre at best. His serve and his volleying skills are nice, he's good at attacking second serves, but that's not enough in this era. He cannot survive in rallies against quality players whatsoever.

Just when you think Dolgo has put his game together, he dishes up a mug performance like this.

Sijsling has the best game ever. Joy to watch him play every time.
