A great showcase of real tennis. Ferrer showed some great offensive play on the big points.

Hopefully Dolgo can keep up this form next year, he will no doubt be in the top 10 if he can do that.

So I see that pusher for life has already started his usual thread.

This one is meant to celebrate the final, not bash it.

Nr 5 pretty much secured i think, depending on how bird ends the year indoors.

Anyway great comeback after some time off.

Normally I wouldn't mind who wins in this matchup but it's so nice seeing Ferru win at this tourny, he's so happy

Re: Valencia F : Ferrer def. Dolgopolov 6-1 3-6 6-4

Well done Pics
This obviously meant a lot to him, glad he won it. Still, quite a pathetic way to lose the match for Dolgopolov, holding serve with very little trouble during sets 2 and 3 only to get broken from 30-15 in that last game. I wanted to see another final set TB.

Re: Valencia F : Ferrer def. Dolgopolov 6-1 3-6 6-4

I have nothing against Ferrer but Dolgo deserved this more. Unfortunatelly he couldn't take his chances missing 2bp at 3-3 in the decider and the more experienced player won. The Dog can be so good when he's on...a pleasure to watch. If only he would have Ferrer's mental he would've definetly won a masters 'till now... why not a slam because he definetly has the weapons

Oh and wtf was that celebration Ferrer? Like he won Roland Garros or something

Re: Valencia F : Ferrer def. Dolgopolov 6-1 3-6 6-4

Ferrer played a great mix of tennis- punishing groundstrokes, fast defense, and smooth net play to claim the title. Dolgo hit some great shots but the match was pretty much in Ferrer's control.

You could see how much this title meant to Ferrer by his celebration. They were playing "Call me Maybe" at the end. Why didn't they choose a spanish song?

Re: Valencia Final: Ferrer def. Dolgo 6-1 3-6 6-4

Lovely third set after a shaky first two. David volleyed incredibly all week. Paris is probably too fast for him, but with Tsonga's form he has a shot at the semis there
