I didn't say otherwise. It won't be his fault that the level of competition wll go down brutally. Still, in 30 years time, people won't remember that. History will tell that Nard Dog had a more successfully career than Muzza. Period.

Tomic is a talent-less mug. A poor mans Simon can't be expected to achieve anything of note.

Once again, no he does not, his dad knows barely anything about tennis, and what he knows he's taught Tomic, so Tomic doesn't know much either.

Second highest, after Goffin ranked 3 spots above him.

I was talking about that he got to #27 in the world without making a final, not what's happening now.

Agreed. A killer attitude is needed for the entire course of a tourney in order to win it. This is something that Tsonga has yet to develop consistently as well despite his great talent. Tsonga often inexplicably disappears after a previous round success. Strangely, Tomic reminds me of a burned out player from the outset of his career--a Benjamin Button of the tennis world. Second, the fact that he has not won squat yet is karma for his nouveau-rich-white-trash attitude of unwarranted superiority. I have a feeling that oldtimer Hewitt, who he snubbed as a hitting partner a few years back, has actually achieved better results than he has. Tomic would make a great case study at all tennis camps around the world. Nevertheless, he will play a key role as an ATP tour groupie and will live a privileged life for many years to come.

Well for the sake of the game we really need Tomic to get it the fuck together. Throwing in the towel when things aren't all going your way is a classic case of negative perfectionism, the curse of talented people. The best is the enemy of the good.

In one pube? Yeah, you're right, I was giving Bernard too much credit.

Defends a third of his points in the early weeks of 2013.

Re: Bernard Tomic at 20, slamless and title-less.

Generally, it's easier to bet against someone succeeding than the other way in tennis, but it is still too early to write him off. Some people make steady progress and some suddenly find motivation/desire at a random point in time. Hopefully, it will be the latter with Tomic.

Re: Bernard Tomic at 20, slamless and title-less.

Tomic will be No. 1 player in future. He might be a headcase now, but he will get smarter, it comes with age. Even tho he has none titles he is still better talent then all young mugs we have now.

Not if he's on the CH tour.

Re: Bernard Tomic at 20, slamless and title-less.

He has a good slice and decent defence/ground game. I think out of that generation he has the most attributes that are suited to today's surfaces and conditions, but will it be enough for him to get to the top 4/5? He has to have conditioning and fitness.
