Vienna F : Del Potro def. Zemlja 7-5 6-3

Great week for Zemlja in spite of the result today. He had a few chances which he didn't take but del Potro was never really under pressure that you'd think he'd lose this match.

The Austrian crowd gave Zemlja some great support.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Good job JMDP, title #12 Shaky first set, but good second set. Hope he can stay healthy, continue to find his rhythm back in the remaining tournaments of the year and compete for bigger titles (namely Slams) next year.

Only broken once the entire week, very good serving performance

Another MM title for Delpo. How wonderful!

At least one set will be close, IMO. Delpo doesn`t return solid at all this tournament (yep, he had bigservers in the draw though) and Zemlja is a fighter. 6-3, 7-5 in JMDP`s favour I guess, the difference will be in ability to finish possible easy shots after one stroke. Delpo`s forehand > almost all Zemlja`s game.
Not bad.

Gasquet is next №1

Re: Vienna F : Del Potro def. Zemlja 7-5 6-3

Difficult first set for JMDP, Zemlja had multiple opportunities to break at 4-4 (I think, though it may have been 5-5) having previously been up a break as well. Classic tale against a better opponent, if you miss your chances, you're going to regret it. Still, excellent effort from Zemlja and a good week of performances to look back on. For Del Potro, the title is of value points wise and gaining match time, otherwise unremarkable.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Zemlja the warrior I hope that he won't have to play challengers for a while.

Unexpectedly enjoyable matchup, especially in the first set. Delpo was far from his best, but some terrific defending from Zemlja, he anticipated Delpo so well. Nice game to watch.

Grega played a lot better than I expected from him. I still dislike his game but he gave a good account of himself.

Del Potro won this title playing in second gear. Congrats to him.
