WWW ? Shanghai R3 : Isner - Stepanek

One of the highly anticipated R3 matches.

Contrary to popular belief and despite the ranking difference, i think Stepanek has the upper edge on this one.

On this fast courts, Isner can't deal with Steps' athletic play.

Radek in 2 with 7-6 6-4 kinda scoreline.

Re: WWW ? Shanghai R3 : Isner - Stepanek

Tough one, Stepanek played really great today and this courts aren´ so slow like most so even his netgame is here effective and vs slow big guy like Isner with non-existing passing shots i can see Stepanek to dominate at the net and win a lot of points there, + his serve today was great and John´s ROS is pathetic, on other side if John will have again 70% or more FS in, i can´t see Stepanek to break him so if it goes down to tie-break probably John has advantage thanks to his FS% + his 2nd serve is good enough to take advantage in rally after it, howewer Stepanek can go down in his FS% pretty quickly and end up in tie-break under 50% FS in... so i think tough match with maybe even 3 tie-breakers, but Isner should be little favorit here.

Re: WWW ? Shanghai R3 : Isner - Stepanek

i hate the pair of them

however, can't decide what way this will go

if it reaches tie breakers, then isner will clutch it out

all stepanek needs is one break per set. the question is whether he can get that

it really is in isner's hands (and his first serve %)

Considering the way he defeated Gasquet, I'd go for Stepanek

All-court game will beat all-court serve. In 3 sets.

Gasquet is next №1
