Re: Djokovic hasn't beaten a fellow member of the Big 4 since early June...

And if Novak ends the year as #1, having beaten Murray and Roger in the WTF, people will give yet another reason why he doesn't deserve the #1.

Even last year, after his fantastic season, one of the best (if not the best) in the open era, there were people here calling it a fluke, predicting that Nole would go back to his "deserved" ranking spot very soon.

I'm sure those people would hate Nole finishing as #1 for a second straight year. A fluke which lasts 2 years?

Just take a look at the players who ended the year as #1 recently:

2007 Roger
2008 Rafa
2009 Roger
2010 Rafa
2011 Novak

Roger was the undisputed king from 2004-2007. After that, the struggle got a little tougher at the top.

Nobody seems to have been able to hold on to the highest spot recently... Will Novak be the first to extend his dominance for 2 straight years, with this really strong triumvirate at the top of mens' game? Stay tuned...

Thrilling end to a season...

Lol, amazing dominance. Not being able to beat your 3 rivals for half a year and vulturing on weak fields to secure a nice cushion over the top players. Some dominator this Djokovic.

I usually don't care about rank but since that all that's left this year, hopefully Novak will secure it.

Yeah, I doubt the alarm bells are ringing just yet for Djokovic - since June ain't that long of a time, is it now?

He will no doubt be gutted he wasn't able to beat Murray in that US Open final, as Murray has now become a real threat to his chances of winning future majors - he no longer has just Nadal and Federer to worry about.

If he were to lose his favourite major to Murray at the start of 2013, then he may start to be concerned. For now, both he and his fans can rest easy. He's had a decent year, and will probably be number one at the end of the year.

What weak fields are you referring to? If by weak you mean without Federer and Murray (since Nadal hasn't been an issue since June), then he didn't get any of those: Murray was in every tournament he entered, and Federer was in all bar Toronto. Unless you mean Beijing, in which case it'd counteract Federer's Rotterdam with no other top 4 players.

Losing to Nadal on clay is not a big deal, everyone loses to him. He lost to Noserer @ wimby because he was sick, no big deal as well. However, being beat by Mandy in a fucking slam final on hard court is a huge fiasco. Nole must still be mad over that one. Should have really won that match.

No, Noserer gave him the runny nose virus he's been spreading since Indian Wells.

The reason for this is that Dull has been out since then. Djokovic would have beaten his slave at least 3 times by now if he had the balls to show up since Rosol gave him the beating of his life.

Nothing wrong with him at Wimbledon, he was deservedly beaten, and deservedly beaten again at the US Open final.

Too many on here put Djoker as a GOAT candidate. He's a fine player but he's not even past Becker and Edberg yet.

Three times: Isner in Indian Wells, Tipsy in Madrid, Delpo in Olympics.

And he wants to be a best in the world style of players, which he has clearly been in 2012.
Tell that to the retards on this forum that think H2H is like the most important factor in determining someone's legacy in the game.

Federer / Haas / Safin / Gaudio / Kuerten / Youzhny / Nadal / Gonzalez / Ljubicic / Hewitt / Soderling / Wawrinka / Coria / Nalbandian / Kohlschreiber
