Chine Open SF : Djokovic def. Mayer 6-1 6-4

Easy win for Nole.

Through to the final where he'll face Tsonga tomorrow.

I'm really enjoying China Open this year. Quality players with exciting games competing for the win.

Plus, no one came out and abused the draw and we didn't see any vultures around.

Too easy i didn't even bother to say anything about his performances this week. Routine wins. Now take the title Nole and go to Shanghai with a good momentum

Another breadstick. Is this guy too lazy to make a proper bagel or what?

It was straight cruising except for the last couple of entertaining games.

Re: Beijing SF : Djokovic routines Mayer 6-1 6-4

a very solid match.
He seems to have modified his game a trifle towards offense. The USO loss might have taught him a lesson in terms of excessive passivity and waiting for the opponent's error. A good test tomorrow.

Why would Flo feel neglected?No1e is generous, No1e is good and he fed him a breadstick too.
Good stuff from German guy at times, but No1e was too good.

Not as good as his last match but good enough to win this match. Mayer wasn't bad at all today.

2nd set wasn't exactly routine though, Mayer won 2 more games than Melzer did, but Nole still managed to win in an hour.

Pretty much the same, he is really looking tough out there ever since he lost the USO, perhaps this is Nole 3.0.

Re: Beijing SF : Djokovic routines Mayer 6-1 6-4

Mayer is enjoyable to watch and has a unique game, which makes some people overrate him a little bit.

Too bad, he and Dolgopolov are pretty much worthless against great players. All hope is on the power players to put up a fight, Tsonga could probably beat Novak in the final

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.
