To say he lacks class, is still an overstatement of his personality.

It's just to let us know that his leg is bothering him.

Like this was to let us know he had a headache.

I don't mind. As long as he doesn't start talking trash about his opponents or harms people other than himself, it's his business. If you can't handle it, don't watch. Really simple.

Well it can be a kind of insulting when someone is playing a very tight match against him and he goes on whining how sick he is and how bad he is playing. Essentially stating you are so bad compared to me I only lose a set to you when I am sick and playing very bad. Disgusting I think.

Re: Murray`s negative attitude on court

Really don't see how his fans aren't ashamed by his WTA juniors attitude .

If I were on the tour and beat Murray when he had this kind of attitude I'd give him the most smug grin at the net and probably even laugh at him.

Re: Murray`s negative attitude on court

has to be said that murray's blatant shouting of obscenities is far more honest than nadal's bitchy rants in spanish, muttering away to himself

neither are as bad as bitter federer press conferences though

Re: Murray`s negative attitude on court

Murrays attitude has definately improved on court a great deal. He's obviously not like a Federer or Nadal who stays stoicly expressionless through the entire match. He get's annoyed, and if he didn't he wouldn't be him. He occasionally has an outburst but now, when he does it generally doesn't affect the match too much. In the past he would have a tantrum and he would go into a major slump for as long as an entire set.

Often he has an outburst and it helps him because he's got it out and isn't holding in any frustration. I don't see a problem with it, it's nice to have someone at the top of the game who doesn't act act in the same way as Fed, Nadal etc he's a little different but I don't see it as a major negative anymore.

Re: Murray`s negative attitude on court

I really don´t get Murray´s outbursts. Today he was in the lead against Stepanek in the final set, and once again he got mad, yelled, and cried for some mercy.

I mean, when Safin had an outburts, it was legit, because most of the times he was losing.

Just don´t get what makes Murray so mad. Sometimes it´s disrespectfulto to his opponents.

Exactly, such a waste of emotion.

What he means I think is that, yes, Nadal is very emotional on winning points. But when it doesn't go his way, he remains focussed and calm on trying to turn it around. You'll never see him smash a racquet, the most you'll see is a reaction like this:

He's definitely pissed, but still a pretty moderate reaction.

There I was, thinking this thread was about Murray...
