Tokyo QF: Baghdatis def. Tursunov 6-2 6-4

Good stuff Marcos. Great to see his 1st coach Yiannos Hadjigeorgiou back with him from Cyprus, should never have left.

Tursunov ran out of petrol after plenty of tennis in the past few weeks.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

yes! finally Marcos in a semi again. I really hope he rediscovers the joy he used to have in the game, maybe his old coach will help

Come on Baggy, go to final (unless Kei plays in semi), and go one step further against Andy than at Wimby and OG this summer!

The best Tursunov was hitting the ball off the ground in ages bar a couple of horrific BH slices. But he was VERY poor on serve (got virtually no free points) and return (hit two big BH ROS winners in the second game and that was it).
All in all, an excellent tournament for Mitya. Hope he has something left in tank for a good showing in Tashkent next week, he needs to reach final there to finish the year in the Top-100 and make it to the Oz Open MD.

Dimi was just making way too many errors today, poor stuff from him.
