excuse me but these are official numbers from the ATP site, and yes you can look at it as 14 plus DC if you wish. Djokovic outperformed Fed this year fair and square. Your maximum potential point score is kinda silly, because Djokovic has won more points than Fed this year playing less even if we don't count DC. Is that so hard to understand? My point stays.
Djokovic played Toronto+MonteCarlo, and now Beijing, 3 tournaments with a lot of points, and for Monte-Carlo and especially for Toronto, not the field which Masters 1000 usually have, which Fed didn't play
Fed played Rotterdam+Halle, 2 tournaments which Djokovic didn't play. Doha was a practising tournament which will not count, Davis cup is just for his country.
Soon Djokovic will play Bercy, Fed will play Basel, and I'm convinced Murray will play Basel and not Bercy as well. Bercy will give 1000 points to the winner, Basel 500 points.
I have no problem to say that Djokovic is so far the year-leader and will probably be the one in the end of the year, but I just want to say the truth about the real difference in the number of tournaments played.
I know that Lenders has his dogma/theory about Toronto being "mandatory" then excluded from his vulturing theory but this Lenders' theory is PURE BULLSHIT : I'm not here to accept/enter his dogmas but to think of things the way they are in reality.
