Re: Do you miss Robin Soderling?

I'm beginning to wonder if he will make it back to the Tour? How long has he been out?

Tennis needs Soderling more than it needs Nadal. Really.

Yes! Those beautiful powerful groundies, and that elegant serve . Not to mention the swagger he brought to the court . Fingers crossed he'll be back next year .

Personally, I don't. But he seemed to bring a consistent threat to the game, so I want him back for the sake of tennis.

Shame we'll never have a WTF field with Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray, Del Potro, Tsonga, Soderling and Berdych. Would be the perfect WTF field in the period we're currently in.

Replace Del Potro with Ferrer and you are correct

You never give up, do you?

Ferrer in WTF is a crime against indoor tennis (not to mention tennis in general)

2009 WTF was close.

Had 6/8, with Verdasco and Davydenko over Tsonga and Berdych.

Yup. 2009 was the best WTF field in years. Tsonga instead of Verdasco would have made it perfect imo (although Verdasco played well there). Davydenko is one of the best indoor players of the decade, surely > Berdych indoors.

Re: Do you miss Robin Soderling?

Any serious fan of the game of tennis *should* be able to admit to miss a former top player like Robin Soderling right now.

Just because your God made final and beat Noserer indoors didn't make it best WTF.

2009 WTF featured broken down Nadal who was coming back from injury(0-3 in matches, 0-6 in sets), Noserer who was still sick with the mug flu he caught just before USO final and Baldenko who is a joke of a top player in slams and pretty much best of 3 specialist - a total embarrassment in slams. Best WTF of the decade What's next, you're gonna call Wimbledon 2009 final a classic match...?
