Very nice.
Chuidinelli is still very competitive on hardcourts,
but annoying davis cup interruptions on clay are not good for his schedule.

Good result,
nevertheless.

How is this a good result? Chiudiclown will lose 2 and 3 to any opponent, while Karlovic would double bagel most players in the draw. Sad result for tennis, you can already know that the courts are slow.

On what basis do you say the courts are slow? Because one of the worst returners in the history of the game lost?

Good result for tennis. Marco is such a likeable guy.

The courts are most likely quick if Chiudinelli is winning matches.

what a statement....... haven´t watch it but based on Ivo´s result court must be slow...

Tokyo was using Decoturf last couple of season and used to one of faster outdoor HC events... so 1st watch some matches and than go on MTF trolling pls...

Who said Im trolling? Just watch, this is going to be a slow tournament. Based on the way Chiudinelli is playing in the last couple of years, barely going through qualifying there is 99% that Tokyo will play out like blue clay.
All the players who like fast surfaces struggled in qualifying, look at Petzschner, Tursunov and Dimitrov. Do you really think that Tursunov would go to a tiebreak or Petzschner would lose a set to futures level mugs if the court was fast ?

And people badrep me for saying that Karlovic sucks. Get over it.

Yes, because Petzschner and Tursurnov are brilliant players aren't they...do me a favour.

I dont think that Petzschner, who is an experienced player would lose a set to a Japanese nobody knows? And Tursunov, even if coming back from an injury wouldnt go to a tiebreak with a mug, thats for sure. Qualifying events tell a lot about how the surface is gonna play out. If you take Beijing, the qualifiers are Berrer, Bogomolov, Baker, and Ebden. 2 of them like fast surfaces, while 2 are better on the slow courts. It indicates that Beijing will be even slower than Tokyo.

guys with the all due respect, Satasonic is perfectly right about courts speed. we all know it's going to be slow as ass so don't know what's all this fuss about his comments apart from the hate towards good man Chiudinelli.
