It's just bad luck.
Its not just the running. Its also about stopping on a dime, putting pressure on his knees. He has a style that punishes his body, and he pays for it.

Yeah, and I guess all the other players can just switch directions without 'stopping on a dime' and without putting pressure on the knees

I didnt say that. What I mean is that he puts a lot more pressure on his knees than other people do. He tries harder to get to every ball. Its part of the reason why hes the best defensive player in the world.

This.

No dodgy knees means nadal wins a lot less slams. nadal's tactic is to tire his opponents and force them into errors. It's almost like he makes the opponent lose the match instead of him winning it.

Lucky for Roger talent doesn't equate physical problems. Too bad nadal is severely lacking on that department.
And this.

8th day of July 2012: 7-time Wimbledon champion!

Once upon a time there was a myth about strong and weak eras. On this glorious day the clownery was eventually unmasked: 30 y.o. past-prime daddy Fed became #1 once again in the supposed strong "Spartan" era with his rivals at their peak.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!

7 Wimbledon titles

Why is he better than Nole, btw? Nadal moonballs on defense while Nole sends the ball with low net clearance (even when reaching to the ball while sliding), it's fucking amazing.

Unlucky to play vs Federer and Djokovic

Lucky to play and win Wimbledon with such slow grass and the hard courts having been slowed down.

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned....

11 slams -5, winnig H-H angainst Roger and Novak, more tournament wins than Novak, more weeks at #1 and Carrer grand slam. Winning is what counts, not just game style. If anything, I would say that Nadal has achieved to his nature given ability.
