Re: Do you prefer outdoor or indoor tennis?

Indoors. It's the pure and clean form of tennis. Watching on tv you get better quality of image and sound, better quality of tennis. Playing yourself you get air conditioning, protection from wind/sun. Lots of advantages.

Outdoor clay is the worst. Dust blowing in the wind, shoes getting dirty, everything getting dirty. It's like pigs running around in the dirt

I like more outdoors. I like seeing sunshines changing during the matches

And defensive tennis is...bad?? As I said, it wasn't a typical indoor ace-snoozefest, but the quality was very high.

Re: Do you prefer outdoor or indoor tennis?

While I would prefer to play on outdoor tennis surfaces, I live in Massachusetts and often have to settle for indoors. Temperature control is always nice but playing outside feels so much more natural!

Re: Do you prefer outdoor or indoor tennis?

Should be played outdoors whenever it's possible, but indoors is also a 100% legit way to play tennis (even if the nadulltards don't agree with this), and it brings variety (and great tennis) to the tour.

Indoors for both playing and watching.

Re: Do you prefer outdoor or indoor tennis?

For watching tennis it doesn't change much for me, it's enjoyable in both conditions.

For playing - indoors, big time. No sun, no rain, no wind and much less heat. Doesn't matter the surface, the shots go through the air faster and without the heat you can actually play longer and with better intensity, at least for me as an amateur with not great stamina..

Outdoors but with a roof, so no rain delays.

Re: Do you prefer outdoor or indoor tennis?

outdoor for sure, not to mention there are virtually no indoor tournaments. the only added benefit of indoor is if you really enjoy lightening play, serve/volleying, and can't stand wind.

outdoors has more variety, the conditions are more random, I think it generally bodes for a more exciting atmosphere. and just think of the really pretty tournaments, ala monte carlo, the sky is really nice to have overhead, the sun. it all makes for better quality if you ask me
