Shame I was enjoying that match. You could tell it was coming - Davydenko had a medical timeout and his movement was declining towards the end

Ruined Kei's run of deciding set victories.

Poor Kolya, he was having a decent run at the moment.

Shame. Niko was finding some decent form, SF and QF in the last 2 weeks.

Why can't he beat this kid?!

Oh no NOT AGAIN!

Was hoping to see a Davydenko come back. I guess it's not happening.

Kei

Save tennis this weekend

Shame that Davydenko got injured again, he's been playing good tennis indoors. Hope it isn't serious.

Thigh injuries are rarely a big deal, hope it is thigh, not hip

Re: Nishikori def. Davydenko 6-4 ret.

Bit surprised this will be Kei's first ATP semi final of 2012. QF of Australian Open and Olympics but not been performing too well at the 250's - hopefully he can change this against Monaco

Re: Nishikori def. Davydenko 6-4 ret.

"Nikolay Davydenko, was forced to withdraw with an adductor strain."
So it's actually this according to ATP ! i saw how actually Nishikori wrong footed Davydenko and maybe this is the reason for the strain ?
Davydenko made a 180 degrees turn while running ... i fear it's serious ..
i don't know why i saw his physio massaging his Thigh ?
Whatever good luck to Nishikori in the next round against Vulture in chief and i hope for faster recovery to Davy !

Re: Nishikori def. Davydenko 6-4 ret.

davy

happy for kei though and hopefully he wins this title now. It definately wont be easy when you look at who's left but of them all he needs this more than anyone because he has A TON of points to defend during this part of the season. A title here would at least help a bit to throw off the point losses in shanghai and basel

his season really has not been that great outside of his showing at australia and the olympics and its the points he gained last year during this time that are holding him up

Really happy for Nishi, despite the circumstances.

Denko's injuries keep increasing. Surely he'll retire soon.

bad matchup for donkey. even if he's fit and healthy he'll still lose to kei.
