How about when he fails to defend ranking points from a certain tournament? Do they charge him for that?

It would cost them about 10 million dollars this year. It is possible for such a big country.

Are you sure it's dollar, not yen, so about $20 rather?
I don't believe they give $2000, but on TC, Ashley Fisher did say Japanese players are well supported financially.
