Re: Bangkok R2: Gasquet def. Dimitrov 5-7 7-5 6-4

What's with the amazing match ups today? Raonic - Karlovic, Levine - Rosol, Gasquet - Dimitrov.. my eyes are drooling

Great comeback by Gasquet. Dimi is looking good to end the year with a flourish, despite the let down at the end of the 2nd.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

Dimitrov's idol must be Troicki. Choker

Djokovic | Tipsarevic | Querrey

I'm starting to doubt if Dimitrov can beat Federer's Grand Slam record ...though with players playing well into their 30's one never really knows...

Dimitrov was so impressive here last year vs Murray - I remember thinking at the time it was maybe his breakthrough moment.

Yet here we are, a year later, he's 60ish in the world still.

Gotta be kidding me

I left at 7-5 5*-3

A- Choke for Dimitrov, just amazing.

Game over. Forever.

It's time to accept the reality: Dimugtrov ain't winning slams with WTA mentality.

Pretty much NID. Yes, his game is pretty, but I don't see the hype at all. I'm doubting he will even reach a 250 final, along with Tomic the Slice King.

What a great achievement from Dimitrov. He outchoked Gasquet. Very few achieved this performance.
Always knew Dimitrov had something special.

High quality match and easily the best of the week. Grigor played lights-out tennis for a set and a half and was awesome on serve. He undeniably choked when serving for the match but this is something a player can work on so there's no reason to believe he will always have this problem. He had the match in his hands so a loss will probably do him good if he learns from it.

A win would have been ideal but I'm just glad to see he has his serving rhythm back and playing good tennis again. When he plays like he did for the first half of the match, there is nobody better to watch. Once he learns to keep his nerves in check and close out matches he will rise far.
