Great the sport. Knowle was top 100 singles in 2002.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

Re: Kuala Lumpur FQR: Knowle def. Matsui 3-6 6-3 6-4

fun facts about this:
a) he will be the third oldest player (he is born 1974, aged 38) ranked on the whole tour (oldest is HAMEURLAINE (ARG, born 1972) and DUPUIS (FRA, born 1973)). but both are above #1000..
b) he will (if he loses first round in main draw) re-enter ATP singles ranking at around #880
c) he played 3 singles tournaments since 2005!!

Apart from this, Inglot (born 1986) is for the first time ever in an ATP main draw.

Unfortunately Huey (born 1985) just lost to Ghedin in the last set tie-break, otherwise it would have been the first time ever in an ATP main draw even for him.

I don't really see how it is great for the sport to have a 38 year old doubles player in an ATP singles main draw.

I love muggy things like this, though.

brilliant, haven't seen Knowle play singles for 10 years.

I think many players don't communicate to the ATP to get removed from the rankings. Ljubicic did so.

Can a player ask to be removed from the official rankings? In the space of a year they will disappear in any case..

For example, as of the 17th of September Luczak is #997, Brzezicki is #509, Clement is #187 etc.
