As I understand an Oaf stands for a stupid person, which is used to refer to Marats ability to waste golden opportunities and to lose to players 3 times as bad as he is (oafing).
However, Safin hasn't oafed a lot, lately!
Great victory Marat! I didn't know you're the first to win back to back indoor TMS titles!

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....

Re: Marat the Master in Paris

Congrats Marat! Even though he played such a horrile 2nd set. It was miracle he won that one.

It is also an acronym OAF- which stands for "Only A Fan", meaning only true fans of Safin can survive this mental rollercoaster without getting a heart attack in the process.

Incidentally, it was funny that being up a break in set #2, Safin dropped his serve right after Stepanek had put on a headband- he must have thought it was Federer for a moment and lost his concentration.

I can't good-rep you today, but expect one later...
Actually he would have concentrated more against Federer. Might have seen a better set....

Thank you Marat for a brilliant couple of weeks. One might have thought that you can get through atleast one indoor season without ruling it, but no... as it turns out, you're still the King, with no intention of getting off the throne. Great!

Riding the 3AM Rollercoaster

Anastasia Myskina, Marat Safin thank you.
