Tipsarevic is an alleged sexist. Ferrer is an ACTUAL sexist.

You do the math.

At least Tipsy never slagged off an umpire because "she is a girl, so she obviously talks shit" or something like that.

I didn't follow the prize money controversy much, because I find the dispute difficult to settle. But if I understand correctly Tipsy goes on rants against women's tennis very consciously and in public (or on Twitter which is pretty much the same).

Ferrer has never made one comment or acted in a way that made me think he was a sexist, except this one time, in a very unusual flush of anger, at a moment when he was f***ed up in his head, in a foreign language which we all know he does not master very well ()... and he duly apologized afterwards.
BTW, what he said was "girls can do nothing" or "can't do nothing", and what he meant was not very clear (since he was surprised and annoyed at being penalized for swearing at himself, some people thought he meant "girls are not allowed to do anything on court" - ie you can't even swear at yourself without getting a warning).

Anyway. He at least expresses some kind of interest about women's tennis (only yesterday he congratulated Sara Errani on her win). Now, given that I'm pretty sure male tennis is a very sexist environment (just like male tennis forums where "WTA player" is the worst insult ever...), referring to female players to congratulate them seems a pretty good indication that someone is not a sexist.

He said that women shouldn't be payed equal as the put less effort. And he also said that if they want to pay women equal, they should make them play BO5 and that any who thinks Serena or Sharapova don't have stenght to play a 5-setter is an idiot. Ther's truth in those words, I never saw a WTA player exhausted from a couple of long 3 seters the way i saw some ATP players after couple of 5-seters. But who whould want to see 5 sets of WTA

Djokovic | Tipsarevic | Querrey

Yes he does, and he's open about and he backs up his claims with relative intelligence. Good for him i say, it's better than being snide and secretive about it like Ferrer, who is one of those types who made a comment and then tried to cover up his disrespectful crap. Ferrer has that faked humble persona that really is just a pr scheme to cover up what he is really like, which is anything but the angel you all think he is. That's what i like about Janko, he's honest about his claims. He makes a big call he's not going to try deny saying it like a some-sort of self-absorbed politician.

"Ferrer has never...except this one time" so he has made stupid uneducated sexist comments. Oh and he also lobbed a ball at a crying baby. Please do me a favor and lay off Janko when your favorite is just as worse if not more worse by the way he tries to hide his disturbing personality. What he said was that women were inadequate at their job just because of their gender. That's sexist and uncalled for. Yes he apologized but under his breath he was most likely spouting the crap. His opinion doesn't does change like that, he had to apologize to preserve his shy innocent image that we all know is fake.

When it comes down to it and i'm sick to death of the Ferrer fan-base making him out to be some sort of saint who can do no wrong when really its anything but that.

The only indication that it provides is that Ferrer has some sort of creepy sexual desire or infatuation with Errani. Really it can mean anything, but you really are trying it on with more saint ferrer praise. Ferrer isn't the only player to congratulate a female player and he sure isn't the last. I doubt i'm the only one who saw his real intention but regardless this was pointless for you to bring up because it the intention could mean anything and given his history my interpretation seems bang on.

Tipsaveric in 3. Come on Janko, for tennis

Some people truly believe that Berdych, Ferrer or Tipsarevic will win the US Open?

There is only one winner for this match: Nole.

Plus Ferrer has a 250 soon that he must prepare for - it's in Malaysia and we all know how much he loves his obscure 250 events, that's his priority i believe. Tipsaveric is just as efficient as David anyway, and is uber fit this year so Ferrer's fitness test shouldn't be an issue.

Tipsaveric in 3 easy sets is my call
Yes, Ferrer only ever does well and vultures in obscure 250 events while Tipsarevic reaches finals (or even wins the finals) of ATP500, ATP1000 or Masters Cup on all surfaces all over the world every year.

Re: WWW US Open QF: [8]Tipsarevic vs [4] Ferrer

I said this in www tipsarevic vs kohli thread and i'll say it again...enter Janko Tipsarevic, USO 2012 runner-up. He will destroy Ferrer, upset Nole in epic 5 sets and then get crushed by Murray in straights to give him his 1st GS title.
