Re: Mardy Fish Withdraws From US Open

Putting aside the Federer draw nonsense, I hope Fish is okay. It's sad when anyone withdraws from a slam but with his history of heart problems, it's a lot more concerning.

Hope Mardy is okay. Everyone loses today. sucks for the rest of us. had the potential of a great match in the making. Fish was near form. the Labor day ratings for CBS must be plummeting

Instead of Smugerer getting a fucking walkover??

ALL players get walkovers once in a while. Fed, in about 15 years on the pro-tour, has had four in total in all of the GS's he played. WOW.

Poor Fish. I only recently read about his heart condition, I do hope it isn't bad but it really sounds like that. Coming to think about it, I was already rather surprised to see him show up at the USO this year at all.
My wishes for a good recovery!

Nole's draw is not harder than Roger's, quarters Delpo to Djoker(or Rodduck ?)/Berdych to Rog...both are tough ones, and the semis Roger would have probably Murray and Djoker..who? Ferrer?? so stop this shet, I actually think this is not good to Roger, he needs play!! too much rest is not good, it breaks his rhythm.

All the best to Mardy. his health is far more importnt than a tennis match.

In regards to Fed if he uses up all this luck now maybe there will be none left for the qfs/Sfs?

Go Andy!

So very very proud to be a fan of Mr Andy Murray Wimbledon Champion 2013

Re: Mardy Fish Withdraws From US Open

poor Mardy! It's bad enough to have the heart problem but all the interviews I've read indicate he's really freaked out about it. On the one hand I can totally understand Fish's anxiety over this health problem -- but on the other hand the anxiety itself is harmful.

Still cant match Nole's regular matches (walkovers) till the semis.

Re: Mardy Fish Withdraws From US Open

Shit. One of the few times that I can watch RF at a decent hour here in Europe... and he gets a walkover.

It will also hurt his chances against betdych, and it will obviously be a night session match. Will Fed get to Super Saturday? Hope so...

8th day of July 2012: 7-time Wimbledon champion!

Once upon a time there was a myth about strong and weak eras. On this glorious day the clownery was eventually unmasked: 30 y.o. past-prime daddy Fed became #1 once again in the supposed strong "Spartan" era with his rivals at their peak.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!

You really have embarrassed yourself there, good job.

Luckerer. This means all his 17 GS wins are completely worthless.

I hope Fish gets well - it must be really disappointing to go out of a GS this way.
