It seems there's one player who plays even more freely than the Fed when Nadal's not in the tournament. Well done, Pics.

Should not have allowed Ferrer to get back in that 1st set tie break. That was always going to be key. 2013 is definitely Hewitt's final season.

Lleyton needed that first set really after playing for so long in the previous round, still he did better than I thought he would considering that he was coming off of his first five setter won in a long time and after surgery. I thought he'd be really flat today but he gave Ferrer a great fight for a couple of sets. Hopefully he comes out of this feeling fine physically so he can continue on the progress he's made.

Ferrer through to the second week of another hardcourt slam. This 'clay courter' sure has game!

I'm pretty confident he can still play a few good years and make some runs at big tournaments. The decision to have his foot surgery was probably a good one, even though some questioned it. He's played very well since RG.
and He has friends now on the lockerroom, before 90% of the guys hated his guts.

Re: US Open R3 : Ferrer def. Hewitt 7-6 (9) 4-6 6-3 6-0

For once, my prediction turned out to be correct

I'm happy for Ferru, he didn't necessarily play well all the time, but he was really able to step up his game when he needed to. He served really well when he needed it the most, and he scored a number of incredible shots on important points...
Then from the third set he just played better and better and didn't give poor Lleyton a chance.

I also felt a little sorry for Hewitt. I share Lopez's point of view, I used to dislike him because his attitude was so annoying... But now there is very little left of that behaviour. Unfortunately, his game has also changed... It seems that he can still play very well but never for more than a set or so.
It was a little sad to see him being bagelled in the last set.

What a disgusting vulture this Ferrer, reaching R4 in a slam for only the fourth time this year.

Delivering the goods, well done David & bite me Lenders.

Please tell me you're a girl. You seem to mention me on every other comment, often asking me to suck you, bite you... Now, I've always assumed you're a guy so I find this a bit disturbing of course. If you were a Swedish girl though, it'd actually be kind of hot - still disturbing in a way but hot nonetheless

That why it was important for Hewitt to win that 1st set when he had that 6-3 lead in the TB. Physically he can't go long multiple matches in a row anymore

I only mention you in Ferrer threads, but those threads seem to be your favorites so I see how you could have gotten that impression. But stop being a clown and I won't mention you again, I promise.
