Anything but liking Lopez but I rout for him. Petch and Murray were making laugh of Lopez in pre-match interview. British arrogance at its best, deserved to be punished. For being such big server Lopez having horrific tie break record but when you look his serve percentage in those breakers it isn't such surprising. Lopez got robbed in first and second set though

Lopez won 162 points, Murray 154. Didn't see that coming. Murray looked tired and uinspired towards the end. I guess he'll hope for cooler temperatures from now on.

lol Lopez was up in every breaker but he's so horrible in tight situations it's not even funny. He won more points than Murray here but it amounted to nothing.
He's now 10-19 in breakers during 2012.

Poor match from Murray... this looked like the old Andy and not like the guy who crushed Fed at the olympics. At this rate he won't beat either Roger or Novak here.

Lucky this mugray. That bad call in the first tie-break changed everything....

This is the problem that has plagued Murray in the past and what I hoped he'd avoid here, getting drawn into a long, arduous match unnecessarily in the early rounds. He had three set points in the 1st, which he wasted and prolonged the set. He was up a break in the second, and up a break twice in the third, and couldn't hold. He made things much tougher then they needed to be and wasted a lot of energy in the grueling conditions against a player he's never lost to before. Now he'll be lucky to get through Raonic/Blake.

Can someone explain to me why the US commentators love Murray so much? They make so many excuses for that pusher; I know they in general openly root for the top players, but with Murray especially, they act like he's the second coming of Federer.

The Olympic champion giving his adversaries a false sense of security...Muzza may not be the favourite for the title but he will fight his guts out for it. Rest assured.
