This is the problem that has plagued Murray in the past and what I hoped he'd avoid here, getting drawn into a long, arduous match unnecessarily in the early rounds. He had three set points in the 1st, which he wasted and prolonged the set. He was up a break in the second, and up a break twice in the third, and couldn't hold. He made things much tougher then they needed to be and wasted a lot of energy in the grueling conditions against a player he's never lost to before. Now he'll be lucky to get through Raonic/Blake.
