routine. verdasco is nowadays just another r3 opponent, except for his unusual propensity for double faults.

Fed looked good but Fiasco was Fiasco.

Slightly more comfortable than the score indicates.

Mugdasco is useless as usual.

A bit longer than I'd like to see but still 3-set win is a 3-set win. Continue through you hell draw Fed.

This performance should make every Fed fan sleep very well tonight. Roger didn't try to trash his opponent, but in terms of winning sets he was unplayable. This is without a shadow of a doubt the best he has played since Cincy QF. Excellent length, good play from both wings, serve clicked. Federer was fantastic today.

World #1 into R16.

Surprisingly easy, but then again Verdasco was (for me) surprisingly bad. Keep going Fed

Will Federer regain the #1 spot and break Sampras's record for most weeks at the top?

Conserverer didn't have to do much except be solid and let Verdasco leak errors and DFs. Next match will be more challenging.
